This course is the ultimate course for an ICA member to be a Professional Canyoning Guide or Leader Guide. This course has the particularity of all training inside canyons, unlike the Auxiliary Guide. This course has a high pace, where trainees have to assimilate new skills and apply them in dynamic situations within the course. In addition to technical skills, we develop other skills like communication, planning, preparation, teamwork, and anticipation. In this course, trainees are responsible for planning all descents and must provide the necessary information. There is an overnight simulation exercise inside the canyon to prepare the guides for this situation. To access this course, trainees must have the level of auxiliary Guide and at least 1 working season after completing the previous level.

Goals:

1. Train the trainee to lead commercial groups to practice canyoning
2. Anticipate situations and moments within a commercial activity
3. Communicate and work as a team in a commercial activity
4. Recognize a rescue situation and perform proper technique
5. Adopt a posture of a professional canyoning guide

Course organization:

1. Preparation in e-learning method: 15 days before the course
2. Training: 8 days (at least 9 courses)
3. Exam: 1 day (commercial descent of customers)

Evaluation:

1. Daily evaluation: the trainee is assessed daily on 9 parameters | 50% of final grade
2. Final exam: taken by an assessor other than the course instructor | 50% of final grade
3. Theoretical evaluation: to be successful in the theoretical evaluation, the trainee must have a grade greater than or equal to 80% in all components
4. Quantitative evaluation: in the rope techniques component, the assessment is quantitative

2. Practitioners who want to achieve a high level of autonomy and exploration in the sport

Prerequisites:

1. Auxiliary guide level
2. At least 1 season after completion of helper
3. Personal protective equipment (own)
4. First aid training
